Externally the cottage has a driveway for one car to the side, and a long, sloping south-facing garden set on three levels to the front.

The house layout was reversed during renovations in the early 1990's, so the rear of the property is now on the small access road. There is no parking on the road, through access is needed at all times; however there is a car park in the village, next to the children's play park.
Summer

The garden is set on three levels, with a variety of fruit trees, and large lawn areas. There is a garden bench, and a shed containing garden furniture, some games, tools and a barbeque.
Winter

Well behaved pets are welcome, and the garden is dog secure. Dog owners can enjoy the nearby countryside if dogs are kept under control, and on leashes around livestock.
